THE GUJARAT ELECTRICITY INDUSTRY (RE-ORGANISATION
AND REGULATION) ACT, 2003.
No.GHU-03-57-GRC-2003-303-K : In exercise of the powers
conferred by clause (d) of sub-section (2) of sections 64
read with section 27 of the Gujarat
Electricity Industry (Re-organisation and Regulation) Act,
2003 (Guj. 24 of 2003), the Government of Gujarat hereby
makes the following rules, namely : —

Short title, extent and commencement.- (1) These
rules may be called the Gujarat Electricity Industry
(Emergency transmission, distribution and supplies)
Rules, 2003.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of
publication in the Official Gazette.

Application for
temporary business of transmission, distribution or
supplies of electricity.-
Any person who desires to engage temporarily in the
business or activity of transmission, distribution
or supplying of electricity in an area during the
period of emergency, shall make an application in
the Form appended to these rules.

Fees for making
an application.- Every
application under rule 2 shall be accompanied by a
fee of rupees ten thousand (non-refundable) to be
paid in the Government treasury by chalan and
security deposit of rupees ten per KVA in the form
of Bank Guarantee.
