THE GUJARAT ELECTRICITY INDUSTRY (REORGANISATION
AND REGULATION) ACT, 2003.
No.GHU-03-57-GRC-2003-303-K.— In exercise of the powers
conferred by clause (a) of Sub-section (2) of sections 64
read with sub-section (4) of section 7 of the Gujarat
Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act,
2003 (Guj. 24 of 2003), the Government of Gujarat hereby
makes the following rules, namely : —

(1)
These rules may be called the Gujarat Electricity
Regulatory Commission (Oath of office and of secrecy
by Members) Rules, 2003.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of
publication in the Official Gazette.

The
Chairperson and Member of the Gujarat Electricity
Regulatory Commission shall before entering upon his
office make and subscribe to an oath of office and
oath of secrecy in the following forms, namely :--
A
Form
of oath of office.
“I.--------------------------------- having been
appointed as a Chairperson/Member of the Gujarat
Electricity Regulatory Commission do solemnly affirm
(or swear in the name of God) that I will bear true
faith and allegiance to the Constitution of India as
by law established, that I will uphold the
sovereignty and integrity of India, that I will duly
and faithfully and to the best of my ability,
knowledge and judgement perform the duties of my
office without fear of favour, affection or illwill". of my

B
Form
of oath of Secrecy.
"I,----------------------------------- do solemnly
affirm (or swear in the name of God) that I will not
directly or indirectly communicate or reveal to any
person or persons any matter which shall be brought
under my consideration or shall become known to me
as a Chairperson/Member of the Gujarat Electricity
Regulatory Commission except as may be required for
the due discharge of my duties as such
Chairperson/Member".

The
oath of office and of Secrecy shall be made and
subscribed before the Chief Minister, Gujarat.
